Workshop on India’s Clean Energy landscape

Embassy of India organised a workshop on India’s Clean Energy landscape: Opportunities for Investment and Enterprise on 13 February. Ambassador R Ravindra elaborated on the potential between India and Iceland in the clean energy sector.Other speakers were Ms María Erla Marelsdóttir, Climate Ambassador, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Olafur Stephensen, Secretary General of the Icelandic Federation of Trade, Mr Bjarni Richter, Director GRO GTP and Mr Bala Kamallakharan, founder of Start up Iceland. Mr Hal Oskarsson, CEO and Founder of Carbon Iceland gave a presentation on Applying the Carbon Iceland model in India and Ms Anisha Tomar, Second Secretary, Embassy of India, Reykjavik provided a snapshot of the Clean energy sector in India. The workshop was well attendedby Icelandic companies involved in the Clean Energy sector in Iceland.
